Quest’anno seguiremo le tracce dell’originale ‘Circuito del Lario’.

Prima edizione della competizione si svolse il 29 maggio 1921, l’ultima nel 1939. Il tracciato si sviluppava su una lunghezza di 36,5 km da percorrere sei volte, per un totale di 220 km. Più di 300 curve e 550 metri di dislivello, con punta massima raggiunta Madonna del Ghisallo (754 metri).
La media record del circuito la stabilì nel 1939 Nello Pagani su Moto Guzzi Condor 500 alla velocità media di 84,10 km/h. Moto Guzzi vinse 5 edizioni: nel 1923 (Valentino Gatti), 1924 (Pietro Ghersi), 1925 (Amedeo Ruggeri), 1926 (Pietro Ghersi), 1939 (Nello Pagani).

- Ore 09.00 partenza direzione Abbadia Lariana per visita al Civico Museo Setificio Monti, all’interno del quale ammireremo un torcitoio per la seta della seconda metà del 1800, ancora oggi funzionante;
- Ore 9.30 andremo in direzione Maggiana: faremo una sosta nel borgo per un caffè e visiteremo il Museo Torre di Maggiana (detta anche Torre del Barbarossa) con splendidi panorami sul lago e su Mandello;

- A Civenna faremo una sosta al monumento dedicato ai Caduti del Motociclismo. Proseguiremo poi in direzione del ristorante dove faremo sosta per il pranzo;
- Ore 14.30 circa riprenderemo il percorso in direzione Ghisallo. This year we will follow in the footsteps of the original ‘Circuito del Lario’.
WHAT IS THE LARIO CIRCUIT?

- 09.00 am departure towards Abbadia Lariana to visit the Civic Museum Setificio Monti, inside which we will admire a silk twisting machine from the second half of the 1800s, still functioning today;
- At 9.30 we’ll go towards Maggiana: we’ll stop in the village for a coffee and visit the Torre di Maggiana Museum (also called Torre del Barbarossa) with splendid views over the lake and Mandello;

Ormai è un appuntamento fisso, a cui non intendiamo rinunciare, creato per fare rete tra i siti museali e mostrarli al pubblico in veste notturna. Anche quest’anno ‘Notte al Museo’ 🌃 passerà sul Sentiero del Viandante 🥾, entrando nel Museo Torre di Maggiana 🏰, nella Chiesa di San Giorgio ⛪ e nel Civico Museo Setificio Monti 🪡, giovedì 22 giugno sera.
Si comincerà dalla Torre alle ore 20.30, situata nella frazione di Maggiana e punto di ritrovo per tutti i partecipanti, dove il Corpo musicale Mandellese 🎷 allieterà tutti con le sue musiche. Ritorno al punto di partenza percorrendo l’itinerario a ritroso, accompagnati da Pro Loco Mandello, presente per tutta la durata dell’iniziativa. Novità di quest’anno sarà la collaborazione con Kubeart, novella realtà mandellese che utilizzerà gli spazi della Torre per esporre le sue opere.
